As reported by Hindustan Times, HYBE India has broadened its nationwide female talent search, opening auditions in eight new cities after a first round that, according to the company, pulled applications from more than 1,650 cities across 116 countries. Online applications opened September 2 and run through October 31 — the South Korean entertainment giant's freshly minted local branch is fishing from Lucknow to Kochi.
The "Final Call" Branding
The initiative — helpfully titled "HYBE India Audition: Final Call" — is hunting for young female performers across vocals, rap, dance, acting and modelling. The eight new on-ground audition cities are Lucknow, Dimapur, Kohima, Shillong, Jaipur, Indore, Goa and Kochi. That's a geographic spread that reads less like an organic talent map and more like a coverage checklist: Northeast, North, West, Coast, South. Box ticked, box ticked, box ticked.
The application infrastructure, meanwhile, is impressively omni-channel. Beyond the official website, HYBE India is taking submissions through academies, institutes, WhatsApp and casting partners — because if your application process in 2026 isn't a multi-platform funnel, are you even trying?
The 1,650-City Flex
The number HYBE's PR machinery wants you to repeat is the first-round reach: over 1,650 cities across 116 countries, including all 28 states and six union territories, plus the Indian diaspora worldwide. It's a smart flex — it positions HYBE not as an outside operator but as a discoverer of what India CEO Damien Woochang Lee called a "remarkable range of regions and backgrounds." Translation: the global South Asian diaspora is already a built-in pre-fandom, and India is the next content pipeline.
Lee said the goal is to "discover, nurture and develop talent with the potential to represent India on a global stage." That's the line, anyway.
What's Actually Coming
The "Final Call" branding is doing quiet work here. "Final" isn't a deadline — it's a promise. The implication is clear: this is the last open call before the machinery shifts from discovery to curation, and whoever walks out of these auditions will be packaged, trained and exported through HYBE's global artist development system. The product isn't just the eventual act — it's the audition itself: glossy social clips, tearful hometown stories, a viral "almost made it" moment, and a winner announcement timed to peak hype. The talent is the content. But the content, as always, is the point.
